6  Commissioning 

6.1  Signal Smoothing 

 

Alarms  and  ranges  should  be  adjusted  after  changes  are  made  to  Smoothing 
Seconds
.  

 

 

A signal smoothing adjustment  is  provided  to 
fine tune the real-time output. 

 

Adjust for reasonably stable baseline readings, 
while response to peaks remains dynamic and 
fast. 

 

Adjusting  too  high  may  limit  setting  an alarm 
based on peaks. 

 

Adjusting too low may result in an output that 
is too dynamic to easily interpret. 

Smoothing  Seconds  example.  Actual  response  is 
application dependent.
