Operation
WARNING: Improper use of a blade may cause it to crack, chip, or shatter. Thrown parts may seriously
injure the operator or bystander. To reduce the risk of personal injury, it is essential to take the following
precautions.
• Avoid contact with hard or solid foreign objects such as stones, rocks or pieces of metal.
• Never cut wood or shrubs with a stem diameter of more than 2cm.
• Inspect the blade at a regular short interval for signs of damage. Do not continue working with a damaged
blade.
• Re-sharpen the blade regularly (when it has dulled noticeably) and have it balanced if necessary (performed
by a qualifi ed service technician).
4.3 Using the brush cutter
1) Never hold the work head higher than your hip.
Work cautiously. The higher you hold the unit the bigger is the risk of thrown objects or clippings. (See. Fig. K)
2) Plunge the blade from above when cutting rank growth a undergrowth.
3) Move the blade close over the ground to cut young trees or grass.
5. TO REPLACE THE LIN
5.1 To replace the spool and line complet e
For your convenience it is recommended you buy spool and line complete.
Remove old spool.(See. Fig. F1)
Place new spool into cutting head. Release one line from cleat and feed line through eyelet.
Repeat for second line.
Refi t the cap.
5.2 To replace the line only
WARNING: Your Trimmer is designed to use only line with a maximum diameter of 2.0mm
IMPORTANT - Always wind the line onto the upper section of the spool fi rst.
Take approximately 2.5m of line.
Insert 1.25m of line into one of the holes in the upper section of the spool and wind line in the direction of the
arrows on the top of the spool.Leave approximately 1.25m of line unwound and place into cleat. Repeat on lower
section of spool. (See. Fig. L1, L2, L3, L4)
Care should be taken to ensure that the line is neatly coiled on the spool. Failure to do so will impair the effi ciency.
Then fi t spool as described in “5.1 To fi t spool and line complete”.
