8. MAINTENANCE
Quality maintenance of the engine is very important in regards to the safe, economic and safe operation of the
power tool. It also helps to limit air pollution.
The purpose of performing regular maintenance and adjustment is to maintain this power tool in perfect working
order.
Stop the engine before performing any maintenance. In the event that the engine must be running during
maintenance, ensure that the area is well ventilated. Exhaust fumes contain poisonous carbon monoxide. Please
always use the recommended accessories. Accessories that do not have corresponding quality may damage
the power tool.
Never use unauthorised components during maintenance nor remove safety devices after performing
maintenance.

Clean the surface of the power tool.

Check the correct working order of the trigger
lock and trigger switch to ensure the safe
operation of this power tool.

Check that the engine switch is in good
working order.

Check that the trimmer blades are not working
when the engine is running idle or when the
chock is in the position for starting the engine.

Check that the trimmer blades are in order, that
they are not cracked or damaged in any other
way. If necessary, replace the trimmer blades.

Check the trimmer blade guard for damage
or deformation. In the event that the trimmer
blade guard is bent or damaged, replace it.

Clean the air fi lter. If necessary, replace it.
X
Check that all nuts and bolts are securely
tightened.

Check the engine, fuel tank and fuel lines for
leaks.

Check the starter and the winding starter cord.
