TOOL MAINTENANCE
The tool indicates when it reaches 1,000,000 cycles since purchase or since the last
maintenance (the front light flashes in rotation) and the need for an inspection which
must be carried out by FIAM technical assistance. If you do not wish to proceed with
the inspection, the signal can be reset by following the instructions given in the table
on page 40, function no. 6. If this option is taken, Fiam declines all responsibility for
subsequent damage or malfunction.
Always follow the proposed maintenance schedule.
It may be necessary to carry out maintenance ahead of the scheduled times in espe-
cially heavy usage conditions.
Specific conditions (environmental or usage) could alter correct reduction unit ope-
ration over time: if you detect an increase in noise from the tool or, more generally,
a decrease in efficiency, we recommend stopping the tool and taking it to a Fiam au-
thorised service centre for maintenance. Acting promptly to grease the unit properly
will protect the components from damage due to wear and prevent related issues.
CAUTION: below there is a list of factors that can contribute (individually or com-
bined) to the need for maintenance ahead of the times proposed in the table:
- failure to comply with the work/pause times specified in the manual
- high ambient temperature
- systematic use of the tool near its upper torque limit
- use of the tool with special couplings
- use of the tool with special screws (self-forming/self-perforating/self-tapping).
