WARNING
Risk of injury, electric shock
X
Always pull the mains plug out of the socket
before performing any type of work on the
machine!
6.1
Electronics
The machine (TS 75 EBQ/ TS 75 EQ) features full-
wave electronics with the following properties:
Smooth start-up
The electronically controlled smooth start-up
ensures that the machine starts up jolt-free.
Constant speed
The motor speed remains constant through
electronic control to ensure a uniform cutting
speed even when under load.
Speed control
You can regulate the speed steplessly within the
speed range using the adjusting wheel
[1-5]
(see
Technical data). This enables you to optimise the
cutting speed to suit the surface (see table 1).
Temperature control
To prevent overheating, the safety electronics
switches the machine off when it reaches a critical
motor temperature. Let the machine cool down
for approx. 3–5 minutes before using it again. The
machine requires less time to cool down if it is
running, i.e. in neutral position.
Current limiting
Current limiting prevents excessive current con-
sumption under extreme overload, which can
lead to a decrease in the motor speed. The motor
immediately restarts after the load is removed.
Brake
The TS 75 EBQ is fitted with an electronic brake.
When the saw is switched off, the brake stops the
saw blade electronically within approx. 2 seconds.
6.2
Setting the cutting depth
The cutting depth can be set at 0 - 75 mm.
X
Press the cutting depth stop
[3-3]
and move it to
the desired cutting depth (the values specified
on the scale
[3-1]
apply to 0° cuts without guide
rail).
X
Release the cutting depth stop (the cutting
depth stop notches along in 1 mm-steps).
The sawing unit can now be pressed down to the
set cutting depth.
A grub screw (M4x8 to M4x12) can be
screwed into the hole [3-2] on the cutting
depth stop. By turning the grub screw, the
cutting depth can be set even more exactly
(± 0.1 mm).
6.3
Setting the cutting angle
The sawing unit can be swivelled between 0° and
47°:
X
Loosen rotary knobs
[3-4, 3-6]
.
X
Swivel sawing unit to the desired cutting angle
[3-5]
,
X
Retighten rotary knobs.
Both limit positions are set ex works at 0°
and 45°. By turning both setscrews
[3-7]
counterclockwise, the 45° limit position
can be increased to a maximum of 47°.
6.4
Changing the saw blade
CAUTION
Hot and sharp tools
Risk of injury
X
Wear protective gloves.
X
Move lever
[4-2]
as far as it will go,
X
Push switch lock
[4-1]
up and push sawing unit
down until it locks into place,
X
Loosen screw
[4-4]
with Allen key
[4-3]
,
X
Remove saw blade,
X
Clean flange
[4-8, 4-10]
,
X
Insert new saw blade.
The direction of rotation of the saw blade
[4-9]
and the machine
[4-7]
must be the
same!
X
Insert outer flange [4-10] such that the locking
pins engage into the notches on the inner flange
[4-8]
,
X
Tighten screw
[4-4]
,
X
Put lever
[4-2]
back.
