Note
Disassembly of the slide is not possible with the EGC-50 as the roller
carriages and slide are supplied as one module in this case.
•
Loosen the socket head screws in the slide and unscrew them.
•
Lift the slide from the roller carriages.
Warning
The recirculating ball bearing guide system is pretensioned. Individual balls
can therefore easily fall out and get lost when pushing the roller carriage
from the guide rail. You should therefore only remove the roller carriages
from the guide rail if they have to be renewed.
•
Carefully push the roller carriages off the guide rail.
Note
Pay attention to the installation position when positioning the new roller
carriages. The partially ground side (stop side) of the roller carriage must
face the front side of the toothed belt axis.
Warning
New roller carriages (standard version with the variant GK and GV) must be
lubricated before the toothed belt axis is commissioned. See section
5.2
“Lubricating the recirculating ball bearing guide”
. If this is not done, the
toothed belt axis can run dry before the next specified relubrication interval
and therefore fail.
•
Position the transport rail with the new roller carriages directly at the guide
rail of the toothed belt axis.
•
Slowly push the new roller carriages onto the guide rail. Make sure that no
balls come out of the roller carriages during this process.
Note
Balls that have come out of the roller carriages must be replaced in the cor-
responding bearing.
