ROUTINE MAINTENANCE

GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS FOR CLEANING

WARNING: remove the power plug from the electricity main before servicing or cleaning the convector fan.

Never pour water on to the convector fan. It could damage the mechanical or electrical parts.

When the convector fan is cleaned, it is absolutely forbidden to use:

 - Gas, petrol (gasoline), thiner or degreasing substances: these can damage the paint.

 - Water hotter than 40°C: could discolour or warp the parts.

HOW TO CLEAN THE EXTERIOR PARTS OF THE APPLIANCE

Bear in mind the following recommendations when cleaning the exterior parts of the appliance:

 - Remove any dust with a soft cloth.

 - Stains can be removed with a neutral detergent diluted in water. Squeeze out the cloth before use.

 - Dry the appliance with care.

HOW TO CLEAN THE AIR FILTER

proceed in the following way to clean the filter:

1:Remove the filter. Use a flat screwdriver to do this. See fig.1

2:Clean the filter with a vacuum cleaner or wash it with water. After washing,

allow the filter to completely dry away from heat sources.

3:Fit the filter back in position and make sure that it has correctly fitted into its

housing.

NOTE

: It is advisable to replace the filter before the winter season.

HOW TO DRAIN OUT THE CONDENSATION

proceed in the following way:

 - During the summer season, make sure that the condensation drain pipe is free from dust or other forewign bodies

that could clog it and cause condensation to spill out.

 - The condensation drain pipe is accessible in versions with cabinets by removing the metal.

 - Make sure that the pipe slopes sufficiently to allow the water to flow out.

MOTOR

The motor is permanently lubricated thus no periodic lubrication is required.
