3.1 Cot Description

The POWERFlexx

Hydraulic Cot (referred to as the

cot in this manual) is an emergency patient-handling
device designed to transport a patient in a ground-based
ambulance.
The electronically-controlled, power-lift system helps
reduce the risk of back injury to medical service
personnel by hydraulically raising and lowering the cot.
The lift mode can be changed to manual when desired.
The cot is for professional use by a minimum of two
trained operators. It is designed for use with Ferno’s
Model 175 Series cot fasteners (not included).
The cot is shipped with a battery charger, plus a safety
hook, low-profile mounting block, and short turn-knob
for use with the fastener. Cot features include:

• Modular hydraulic actuator unit
• Modular power pack with electronic controls
• Manual mode control for non-powered use
• Touch-pad controls for easy raising and lowering
