1.3 Cylinder stops
1.3.1 Header lift cylinder stop
Combines are equipped with a header lift cylinder stop on the left-hand side of the machine. Install the
header lift cylinder stop on the header lift cylinder to prevent lowering of the header. See the information in
the combine operator manual for header lift cylinder stop operation.
1.3.2 Hold-down cylinder support
WARNING:
To prevent injury, always engage hold-down cylinder supports before going under a raised
hold-down.
IMPORTANT:
To prevent damage to hold-down support arms, do not transport a header with engaged
hold-down cylinder supports.
1.3.2.1 Engage the hold-down cylinder support
Before starting the procedure
WARNING:
To prevent injury from a falling hold-down, always engage the hold-down cylinder
supports before going under a raised hold-down.
IMPORTANT:
To prevent damage to the hold-down support arms, do not transport the header with the
hold-down cylinder supports engaged.
Procedure
1.
Raise the hold-down to the maximum height.
2.
Remove the retaining pin from the hold-down cylinder supports.
3.
Move the hold-down cylinder supports (1) to
the engaged position.
Each hold-down support arm has a hold-
down cylinder support.
4.
Install the retaining pin into the hold-down
cylinder supports.
5.
Disengage the hold-down cylinder supports.
6.
Lower the hold-down onto the hold-down
cylinder supports.

1.
