4. USE
DANGER - CAUTION
• When using the machine, always wear the necessary personal protective
equipment: gloves, regulation safety glasses, earmuffs or ear plugs, a mask to
protect the airways and safety footwear.
• Before commencing a new job, always remove the cuttings left from the previous
task.
DANGER - CAUTION
Only for three-phase machines: the direction of motor shaft rotation must match
the direction indicated by the arrows on the guards; if this is not the case invert
two of the three phase wires in the plug.
DANGER - WARNING
THE WORKPIECE MUST ALWAYS BE HELD WITH BOTH HANDS AND COOLED
WITH WATER IF NECESSARY.
4.1.
START-UP, STOPPING AND RESET OPERATIONS
To start the machine
Sanders with one-speed motor (Fig. 8).
• Press the START button (1).
Sanders with two-speed motor (Fig. 9).
• Turn the switch (7) to the required position.
• Press the START button (4).
To stop the machine
Sanders with one-speed motor (Fig. 8):
• Press the STOP button (2).
• Press the STOP button (3).
Sanders with two-speed motor (Fig. 9).
There are three ways of stopping the machine:
• press the STOP button (5),
• press the self-locking EMERGENCY STOP button (6),
• turn the switch (7) to the central position (“0”).
How to restore machine operation after a power cut
• When the power supply returns, repeat the start-up procedure.
NOTES
It is also necessary to repeat the start-up procedure when the after the motor circuit
breaker has tripped.
