14.2 Removing the Hot-end
1.
Gently detach the edge connector from the corresponding print head. Avoid tugging on the wires; instead, grasp and remove
the plug itself. Additionally, take note of the small hook located on the fan duct designed to guide the cables. Be aware that this
hook is stationary, and the cables must be released before proceeding to remove the hotend.
2.
Open the front cover of the device.
3.
Slightly rotate the device to the right.
4.
Carefully extract the hotend from the printhead.
5.
Reverse the assembly of the hot-end into the extruder assembly. Please ensure that you close the lid securely.
IMPORTANT:
Make certain that the hot-end wires are bent in the manner depicted in the accompanying image.
Perform the following two extruder calibrations:
- Initiate Z-height calibration.
- XY calibration
TIP:
Clean the tip of your hotend with a (brass) brush or tweezer or get rid of any unwanted plastic blobs before printing.
