Extension cable.
If the use of an extension
cable is required, its length
and conductor cross-section must be ade-
quate for the applicational case, in order to
prevent a voltage drop in the extension
cable, power loss and overheating of the
battery charger.
Otherwise, the extension
cable and battery charger are liable to elec-
trical danger, and the working efficiency will
be impaired.
Recommended dimensions of extension
cords at an operating voltage of 120 V – sin-
gle-phase a. c., with only BC1880 con-
nected:
