6 Troubleshooting 

I have checked the switches and cable connections but there is still a problem with the 
hardware... 

Possible cause: Back powering from the generator.  

Due to residual voltages on logic lines, it is sometimes necessary to reset the USB to 
MICA8 interface unit, whilst ensuring it is not powered indirectly by the generator. 

1.  Close all browser and application windows. 

2.  Switch off the power to the generator and wait 10 seconds. 

3.  Disconnect the USB cable from the USB to MICA8 interface unit. 

4.  Reconnect the USB cable to the USB to MICA8 interface unit. 

5.  Switch on the power to the generator. 

6.  Run the application again.  

If you are still having problems, restart your computer and try again.  

If you continue to experience problems, make sure that the driver has been installed 
properly. You may wish to reinstall the driver software (refer to the 'Hardware Installation' 
page in the help section).
