The four log-periodics are connected as shown in Figure 2-6. Once assembled this array is
not changed, apart from its polarisation.
2.4.7 Mounting
The completed antenna array should be mounted on top of the receiver tower and set for
horizontal polarisation (as is shown in Figure 2-3 and Figure 2-6).
As long as the output is connected to the RF coaxial cable emerging from the plastic tower
on the tower, it does not matter which antenna is connected to which input, but the
arrangement shown will avoid mechanical problems when the polarisation is changed.
2.4.8 Polarisation
The assembly so far described is for horizontal polarisation. To alter the polarisation, all
that is needed is to slacken the knurled screw at the centre of the H-frame and rotate the H
through 90°.
