Installation, Operation, and Service Manual

General Description

Introduction

This manual describes the features, operation, installation, specifications, maintenance,

and options of the UltraVoice (UV) controller. The UV controller includes a single high-

powered computer-based control card that controls and monitors all siren functions while

minimizing wiring and increasing reliability.
The UV controller can operate with the use of various communications such as satellites

and cellular. Contact your local Federal Signal sales representative for more information.

Overview

The UV controller contains the following components:
• Control Cabinet—contains a card cage to mount a UV+ controller card and up to

eight UV 400 amplifiers or optional equipment

• Battery Cabinet—houses two or four batteries and 24 Vdc charger

NOTE

: Aluminum cabinet housing is standard or optional 304 or 316 stainless steel is

available.
