Overview of Model SST3-MV Siren
The Federal Signal Model SST3-MV is an electronic siren that
produces three different high-decibel tones. It features internal
amplification and the circuitry required to produce wail, yelp and
horn tones. Each tone is manually activated from a remote point.
The SST3-MV operates on 24 Vdc, 120 Vac, or 240 Vac. The
NEMA 3R (with backbox) housing is molded from impact-
resistant ASA (acrylic-styrene-acrylonitrile) plastic, making it
resistant to ultraviolet and ideal for indoor or outdoor use. The
omnidirectional swivel-mount system enables the output to be pointed
anywhere within a 360-degree half-sphere.
The Model SST3-MV can be used as a standalone, high-output
audible warning device in any application in which multiple tones are
needed, but voice paging is not required. Typical applications include
emergency warning, start and dismissal, fire alarm, general alarm, and
evacuation.
