MAINTENANCE.

1.

General.

 WARNING

Crazing (cracking) of lenses will cause re-
duced effectiveness of the light. Do not use
cleaning agents (which will cause crazing)
such as strong detergents, solvents, or petro-
leum products. If crazing of lenses does occur,
reliability of light for emergency signalling
purposes may be reduced until lenses are
replaced.

Ordinary cleaning of the plastic lenses can be

accomplished by using mild soap and a soft rag.
Should fine scratches or a haze appear on a lens, they
can ordinarily be removed with a non-abrasive, high
quality, one-step, automotive paste cleaner/wax and a
soft cloth.

2.

LED Module Replacement.

a.

See figure 3. Remove and retain the two

screws which secure the LED module assembly.

b.

Disconnect the right angle connectors and

remove the LED module assembly.

c.

Observing polarity, connect the right

angle connectors to the appropriate printed circuit
board connectors.

d.

Install the new LED module assembly

using the previously removed screws.

Flasher PC Board Replacement (see figure 2).

a.

Remove and retain the three torx screws

which secure the end plate near the cable exit.

b.

Carefully slide the mounting plate

assembly and flasher circuit board out of the extru-
sion. Disconnect the cable assemblies from the
flasher circuit board.

c.

Remove the circuit board from the mount-

ing plate.

d.

Reconnect the cable assemblies to the

flasher circuit board as shown in figure 2. Reas-
semble the light and secure the end plate in position
using the previously removed screws.

e.

Test the light assembly for proper opera-

tion.
