Radio receiver:
Radio channel selection
The Fame Voyager 12 has 2 WM-160 UHF receivers with 16 radio channels each.
By pressing the "Down" and "Up" keys one of the 16 radio channels can be selected.
The selected radio channel is then shown on the LED display.
Synchronisation radio channel of receiver and handheld transmitter
To synchronise the radio channel of the radio receiver and handheld transmitter, select the
desired radio channel on the WM-160 UHF Receiver. Then press the "ASC" button while the
infrared interface of the handheld transmitter is in direct visual contact with the infrared interface
of the radio receiver. The infrared interface of the handheld transmitter is located above the
battery compartment. To do this, unscrew the housing cover of the handheld transmitter.
As soon as a radio connection has been established between the handheld transmitter and
receiver, the red RF LED lights up. The green AF LED indicates an audio signal is present.
Mute Level
The mute function acts as noise suppression and prevents noise from occurring when the
handheld transmitter is switched off. It also suppresses suddenly appearing interfering noises if
the signal transmitted from the handheld transmitter to the radio receiver is not strong enough,
e.g. due to too great a distance between the radio transmitter and the receiver.
With the transmitter switched off, use a screwdriver to adjust the mute level so that ambient
noise is just about effectively suppressed. Turn the screwdriver to the left to reduce the noise
reduction or to the right to increase it.
