3.8 GAS CONTROL VALVE
To Remove
a) Drain pan.
b) Remove gas pipe between control valve at burner.
c) Undo compression fitting at lower end of gas inlet

pipe on G350/11 model and at tee piece on

G350/12 model.

d) Remove compression nut fixing pilot supply pipe to

back of control valve - at top.

e) Remove two nuts and bolts securing valve to

brackets.

f) Remove fixings and withdraw top bracket from

valve.

g) Ease valve forward sufficiently to enable

thermocouple to be removed at valve rear. Also,

electrical connections to thermocouple interruptor.

h) Undo four fixings and remove control chamber

base panel.

j) Undosmall gland nut sealing capillary tube where

it enters fryer pan (See Figure 2).

k) Remove phial guard and ease phial through pan

fitting.

xi) Ease control clear of fryer, taking care not to

damage capillary tube.

Note -
THE CONTROL PHIAL IS THE LOWER PHIAL
Re-fit valve in reverse order, again taking care not to

kink or otherwise damage capillary tube. Check that

pan does not leak at capillary gland but do not

overtighten this small fitting. Check all connections for

gas soundness, using soap and water solution.

3.9 GOVERNOR
This applies toNATURAL GAS MODELS ONLY.
The type of governor used will normally require little

servicing. The air breather hole should be checked for

dirt blockage.
Always re-check pressure at test point after governor

maintenance.
