Before First Use
• Remove all of the packaging materials inside and outside of the coffee maker.
How to Use?
• Open the top cover.
• Fill desired amount of water to the reservoir.
• Place the permanent filter to the filter holder.
• Fill coffee into the filter.
• Close the top cover.
• Plug the coffee maker and press the power button. The indicator shall illuminate and it shall
start to brew coffee.
Automatic Power-off:
When the brewing function of the unit starts, heating plate is kept warm for 30 minutes until
the unit is turned off. Then, the unit shall be turned off automatically. Keep the coffee maker
off and unplug it from the outlet when you don’t use the appliance.
Cleaning
• The most important issue to remember while you are cleaning your coffee maker is that it
shall be unplugged during cleaning.
• Cleaning shall be performed when the coffee maker is cooled down.
• Always ensure that the power connections of the coffee maker are dry.
• Clean the coffee maker with a damp cloth. Do not use cleaning agents. Otherwise, it may
pose a lethal risk and cause discolouration of the appliance.
• Ensure that the interior of the appliance and the power connections are completely dry
during cleaning.
Descaling
• Regular descaling of the appliance is important for preserving its efficiency.
• The frequency of descaling operation shall vary as per your region.
• Descaling powders and tablets are commercially available in supermarkets and hardware
stores.
• Pour the descaler and the water to the water reservoir to remove the scales on the appliance.
• Operate the appliance without adding coffee. Leave 1 cup of water so that it shall drip into
the carafe. Then, turn the appliance off.
• Keep the descaling fluid for 1 hour to ensure removal of scales.
• Turn the appliance on again to resume the procedure with the remaining descaling fluid.
• Operate the appliance twice or three times again with cold water and then rinse it.
Prevention of Dripping
1. The lever shall move upwards when you remove the carafe.
2. When the lever moves upwards, the on/off valve (inside the machine) shall be turned off
automatically.
3. The coffee shall not drip from the valve.
