Your Fairline is fitted with
the Volvo “Interceptor” automatic trim-tab system to adjust the boat’s fore-
and-aft and lateral trim.
The boat’s trim is automatically corrected to compensate for uneven loading or
the effects of a side wind, and to achieve optimum performance, ride and handling in a wide range of
conditions. The trim tab modules are mounted on the aft corners of the craft.
When activated in Auto mode, the Interceptor System continuously adjusts the boat to the most
favourable running angle for smooth boat behaviour and a more comfortable ride. Maintaining the best
trim angle also minimizes the fuel consumption. Less fuel means reduced costs and lower
environmental impact.
Manual adjustments can be made using the rocker switches located on the
engine-control pod. Please see Volvo literature for detailed descriptions.
