7. DECALCIFICATION
Depending on the hardness of the water in
your area, after repeated use limescale
may form on the inside of the kettle and
interfere with its correct working. If this
limescale is not removed, it may
permanently damage the appliance.
Limescale should eliminated using normal
coffee-maker decalcifying products.
After decalcifying, fill the kettle with water
and boil. Repeat this operation a few times
until all traces of the decalcifying product
have disappeared. If the product is not
removed, it may damage your appliance.
If you prefer, you can also decalcify your
kettle with white vinegar. To do so,
following the instructions outlined below:
• Fill the kettle with a one part vinegar
three parts water solution, fit onto the
base and bring to the boil.
• Once the kettle has boiled, empty.
• Repeat this operation 2 or 3 times,
depending on the degree of
calcification.
• After decalcifying your kettle, fill with
water to the maximum indicated level
("MAX") and boil 2 or 3 times to
eliminate any traces of vinegar.
• We recommend that you decalcify your
kettle once every 4 weeks if used on a
daily basis.
8. GUARANTEE
This appliance is guaranteed for one year
from time of purchase, against any
manufacturing defect.
The guarantee will be annulled if the
damage has been caused by incorrect use
or handling by anyone other than Fagor
Technical Services personnel.
Whenever guarantee services are
requested, the Guarantee Card must be
presented with the date of purchase and
the seller’s stamp.
The guarantee holder always has the
statutory rights recognized by law.
The manufacturer reserves the right to
modify the models described in this User’s
Manual.
