• Read these safety instructions carefully in addition to the instructions for use, operation and maintenance. Keep this
instructions sheet in an easy to find place as you may need to use it again.
• This hydraulic workshop press has been designed for general bending, toughening, axis and bearing extraction work etc.
Never use it for applications that should not be performed by a hydraulic workshop press. Always use the appropriate tool
for each specific task.
• Any other application, beyond the conditions established for use of this hydraulic workshop press will be considered
inappropriate.
• Handle the hydraulic workshop press correctly and ensure that all parts and components are in good condition and that no
parts are missing prior to its use.
• The hydraulic workshop press should only be used by authorized persons, having read carefully and understood the
contents of this manual and the assembly instructions.
• Do not modify the hydraulic workshop press in any way.
• Non-compliance with these instructions may result in injury or damage to the user, the hydraulic workshop press or the
piece being manipulated.
• The manufacturer accepts no responsibility for the improper use of the hydraulic workshop press or the component
handled.
1. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS (§ 7.1.1 de l’EN 1494+A1)
The owner and/or operator shall have an understanding of the product, its operating characteristics, and safety operating
instructions before operating it.
1.1 Study, understand and follow all instructions before operating this device.
1.2 Do not exceed rated capacity.
1.3 Prior to use, make sure the press is securely anchored and blocking axis are securely installed.
1.4 Keep hands, arms, feet, and legs out of the work area. Accidental slippage can result in personal injury.
1.5 No alterations shall be made to this product.
1.6 Only attachments and/or adapters applied by the manufacturer shall be used.
1.7 Use appropriate guarding to contain any pieces that may break or fly apart when applying force.
1.8 When attachments and adapters are used, the rated capacity of the system shall be no greater than the rated capacity
of the lowest-rated component or combination of components that make up the system.
1.9 Visual inspection shall be made before each use by checking for abnormal conditions, such as cracked welds, leaks, and
damaged, loose, or missing parts.
1.10 Avoid off-center loads.
1.11 It shall be the responsibility of the employer to ensure that applicable personal protective equipment (PPE) complies with
applicable local safety codes.
1.12 Any product that appears to be damaged in any way, is found to be worn, or operates abnormally SHALL BE REMOVED
FROM SERVICE UNTIL REPAIRED OR REPLACED.
1.13 The hydraulic workshop press should be supported on a solid, level and horizontal surface which is well illuminated
and free of obstructions. Never stand the hydraulic workshop press on a surface which may sink.
1.14 Do not use the hydraulic workshop press in the presence of violent wind, frost, under extreme climates, near powerful
magnetic fields or potentially explosive atmospheres.
1.15 Avoid any contact between the hydraulic workshop press and food.
1.16 Never use this hydraulic workshop press to lift persons.
1.17 Never use this hydraulic workshop press as a handling means (for moving loads).
1.18 Before use on a ship, please refer to the safety instructions in point 1.13 of these instructions.
1.19 If oil overflows, please do not use the hydraulic workshop press, and refer to section 5 of these user instructions or
contact your Facom dealer.
1.20 This hydraulic workshop press is designed for 5000 operating cycles minimum.
1.21 This hydraulic workshop press complies with the NF EN 1494+A1 standard: Mobile or movable jacks and associated
lifting equipment.
Failure to heed these markings may result in personal injury and/or property damage.
