Cleaning & Care

Routine cleaning is essential to keep your EZ Bean Cooker in its best condition .  After
each use, the cooker should be cleaned and stored as directed:

1 .  Always turn off the cooker and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet before

cleaning .

Make sure the cooker is cool to the touch so that you do not

burn yourself.

2 .  Next, clean the outer portion of the cooker with a damp, soft cloth or paper towel .

Use a clean, dry cloth or paper towel to dry the outer body of the cooker .

NEVER immerse the outer body in water or pour water into the inner

portion of the cooker.

3 .  Using warm water, clean the underside of the lid, including the gasket, pressure

release valve, and air escape/float valve .  Remove the gasket and clean thoroughly

with warm, soapy water; then rinse .  Dry all parts of the lid completely before

replacing the gasket .  Never place the lid in the dishwasher .

4 .  Use caution to remove the inner cooking pot as it may be hot to the touch .  Use

oven mitts or pot holders to carefully remove the cooking pot .  If any food or liquid

remains in the cooking pot, exercise caution to prevent spilling or splashing hot

food or liquid on yourself or others .

5 .  Wipe the inner edge of the cooker (where the lid sits when in place) with a damp

cloth to remove any food or liquid that may have spilled .

6 .  The inner cooking pot may be placed in your dishwasher for cleaning .  To clean the

inner cooking pot by hand, use a soft cloth or sponge with soapy water .  To prevent

damage to the coating on the cooking pot,

do not use harsh chemicals or

scouring pads .  Dry with a clean cloth or allow to air dry .

7 .  Store your EZ Bean Cooker in a safe place .  Do not secure the lid on the cooker –

if you close the lid and lock it in place, the gasket will experience increased wear

and will wear out prematurely .  Use caution when moving the cooker when the lid

is not securely in place .

8 .  The gasket will have natural wear and tear and may need to be replaced as often as

once a year depending on frequency of use .  To order replacement gaskets, please

turn to page 12 .
