Installation, Maintenance, Trouble shooting, Disposal 

6.1

 

Cleaning and maintenance 

 

Avoid direct contact with the beam exit optics. Keep measurement adapter attached 
while cleaning, storage etc. The adapter protects the optics.  

 

Do not flush the device with cleaning liquids to avoid damage from penetration of the 
liquid into the device 

 

Do not use aggressive cleaning agents like acetone. Instead use solvent-free alcoholic 
Fast-Disinfectant like Bacillol. 

 

Wipe  disinfection  should  be  performed  regularly.  Use  abrasion  resistant  cloth,  moisten  is  with  a 
disinfectant like Bacillol and wipe the surface gently. 

6.2

 

Calibration of the ME equipment 

To  ensure  that  the  equipment  over  its  useful  life  always  meets  the  basic  safety  and  essential 
performances,  the  equipment  must  be  calibrated  once  a  year.  The  date  of  the  next  calibration  is 
determined  on  the  UV  meter  by  the  label  depicted  in  Figure  8.  Do  not  use  the  equipment  with 
expired calibration. For the purpose of calibration please contact your distributor. 

The UV lamp and the UV - meter to control the illuminatison intensity are aligned to each other and 
cannot be operated independently of each other. In case of defects please contact your distributor. 
Do not separate UV 

 meter from UV lamp!
