GUI Configurator
The GUI Configurator Software is a Windows
®
-based application for the design of
Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) of Extron TouchLink
™
panels.
The interface is designed on a PC, either by customizing an existing template or by
designing an entirely new interface. The user can define which graphics appear
onscreen. Once the GUI has been designed on a PC, the project is imported by
Global Configurator where control functions are assigned to buttons and other
items in the layout created for the specific A/V equipment.
For example, the main page may have a button labeled "Audio" set to open another
page containing buttons to selecting a specific piece of audio equipment. Each
of those buttons could in turn open another page containing buttons specific to
controlling the selected type of audio equipment.
For the TLP 350CV, 10 function buttons to the side of the screen are also available to
control objects.
GUI Configurator offers several templates designed to manage control system
devices. Once a template is loaded into the application, it can be customized and
configured to meet the needs of a specific A/V system.
This section provides an overview of the GUI Configurator program. For complete
information about the program, consult the GUI Configurator Help File (click on
Contents
in the Help Menu or press the F1 key while within the program).

From the toolbar click
File | Open
and navigate to the folder where the
firmware file was saved (see step
4
). Click on the file to select it.

The firmware transfer takes approximately 3 minutes.

When the “Transfer Complete!” message appears, click
File | Exit
to close the
Firmware Loader.
