DESCrIPTIoN
SUNLIGHT DETECT is an autonomous solar-powered lamp activated by motion detection. It is ideal for isolated
places (garages, alleys, etc.), and comprises:
1 • 1.1 W 6 V amorphous solar panel, pre-wired, 2.3 m
2 • Compact 2.5 W lamp unit and IR detector
USAGE
Installing the solar panel:
1. Choose a place where the panel will be directly exposed to the sun with as little shade as possible during the day.
Choose an appropriate spot for installing your product. If possible, the system should be installed in a dry, dust-free,
well-ventilated area with very little vibration.
2. Attach the triangular base of the panel (screws supplied)
3. The panel can be adjusted through 360°. Preferably choose a south-facing location and tilt to an angle which can
be equal to the local latitude (~45° in France).
Mounting the lamp:
1. Measure the distance between the centres of the fastening holes (fig.2).
2. Mark the location of the fastening holes. Attach the screws on the marks.
3. Hang the lamp on the screws.
4. Connect the plug from the solar panel to the base of the lamp (b) (fig.3).
Usage:
When using for the first time, remove the isolating tab from the battery compartment.
The lamp will come on automatically when there is any movement in the detection zone. The length of time the
lamp stays on can be adjusted.
Adjust the direction of the lamp and the detector to point in the direction of the area to be lit. Under normal
usage conditions, the detection distance should not be less than 5 m.
The button (a) under the infrared detector is used to adjust the length of time the lamp stays on (5 to 50 seconds) (fig.3b).
Set the switch (c) at the rear of the lamp to “Auto”. Under normal usage conditions with the batteries fully char-
ged, the lamp has an autonomy of 3-5 days.
