C. Install the carriage bolt and flange nut into the
front hole as shown in Figure 15.
D. Install the lower tube assembly onto the carriage
bolt. Secure the assembly to the mower deck with
the knob and flat washer as shown in Figure 16.

E. Secure the lower tube assembly to the deck by
fastening the flexible latch to the deck clasp (see

F. Rotate the latch until it hooks into the hole in the
mower deck stiffener (see Figure 18).

2. Slip the curved end of the upper tube into the hopper
junction tube opening. Slide the flared end of the
upper tube over the lower tube assembly. Secure the
tubes by fastening rubber retaining strap onto the
upper tube peg (reference Figure 12).
