Installing the Chute
Parts needed for this procedure:
1 Chute
1 Knob
1 Carriage bolt (5/16 x 1-3/8 inches)
1
Flange nut (5/16 inch)
Procedure
1. Remove the plate assembly that includes the
side discharge chute (
Figure 25 ). The baffle will
come off at the same time. Save this hardware
and plate assembly.

2. Install the existing baffle with the existing bolts
and nuts after removing the plate assembly
(
Figure 26 ).
3. Install a carriage bolt and flange nut into the
front hole show in
Figure 26 .

4. Align the hole in the chute and install it onto the
bolt. Secure the chute to the mower deck with
the knob and flat washer (5/16 inch) (
Figure 27 ).
