“RFID” Anti-Hijacking : (Programmable Feature #14)
For the RFID remote control to operate with the alarm, it is necessary to pro-
gram the remote to the alarm and turn “On” programmable feature #14.
If programmable feature #14 is “On”, the Anti-Hijacking operation will
commence every time:
1) The vehicle’s ignition is turned “On”
2) A vehicle door is opened while the ignition is “On”.
NOTES:
1) If programmable feature #14 is “On”, all Anti-Hijacking operations become
automatic as long as the remote control’s RFID feature is also turned “On”.
2) The user can always cancel the Anti-Hijack operation manually, by pressing
the Valet button anytime before full trigger.
3)
Programmable feature #14 is completely independent of any other Anti-
Hijack feature.
4)
If both programmable feature #14 and programmable feature #8
Ignition
Lock are “On”
, the alarm will lock the doors only after it has received a signal
from the RFID remote control. If the user presses the Valet button to cancel
the Anti-Hijacking sequence, the alarm will NOT lock the doors with ignition.
IMPORTANT: For the RFID Anti-Hijacking feature to be effective, it is very
important that the user carry the RFID remote control on their person,
and that its not hanging on your key chain. This insures that if you are
forced out of the vehicle, the Anti-Hijacking sequence will begin as soon
as the alarm loses contact with your RFID remote.
IMMOBILIZER MODE
: If the programmable Immobilizer mode feature is “On”,
pressing the Valet button to deactivate the immobilizer will also cancel the igni-
tion activated Anti-Hijack operation.
