7.2.11. RPC Control 

Main and Backup 
SFP Port 

•

  This port is used for inband control and magnum is communicating with the card via this port. 

In IPG, port 1 is used for main and port 2 is used for backup. 

 

 
Receive IP Address 

•

  This address can be set manually or received from magnum, either way it has to match the 

multicat address that is defined in magnum. Commands are received from magnum via this 
multicast address. 

 

Tally IP Address 

•

  This address can be set manually or received from magnum, either way it has to match the 

multicat address that is defined in magnum. Responses are sent to magnum via this 
multicast address 

 

Timeout 

•

  This control is used to set the duration befor the connection times out.
