Operating Principle
– Eveready® Energy Vault [AS1 and B1]
|
7
Under
Self-consumption
mode, the system supplies captured solar energy
towards house loads first and stores surplus energy within the battery. Any excess
is then exported to the grid as feed-in. If the solar generation is not enough, the
Eveready
®
Energy Vault
system can then intelligently meet the requirement from a
combined energy draw from both batteries and the grid. When
Blackout Protection
is enabled, the
Eveready
®
Energy Vault
system shall supply safe and reliable
back-up power towards selected back-up loads.
Time-of-use
mode is designed to allow users to benefit from energy arbitrage.
Users can set the battery to charge and discharge during specific times of the day
when energy prices are low (or high), thereby enabling maximum energy savings.
Back-Up
mode allows users that have opted for
Blackout Protection
at the time
of installation, to customise their battery energy usage during a blackout event.
The
Eveready® Energy Vault AS1
system can reserve a certain percentage of the
battery to counter a blackout event. This energy is then discharged towards a few
emergency back-up circuits, thus avoiding power interruption to essential circuits
during a blackout. In Back-Up mode, the battery system will supply power to the
loads first and store surplus energy in the battery as emergency standby capacity.
