ANOMALY
POSSIBLE CAUSE
CHECKING POINTS
SOLUTION
I. Air does not come
out of the nozzle
A) The compressor is not
connected or turned off
Feed air compressor
Connect the compressor to the
sandblaster and start it
B) Blocked nozzle
Nozzle
Disassemble the nozzle from the
gun and blow through it to remove
the obstruction
C) Sand flow rate regulator
too open
Product outlet regulator
Close the regulator until you reach
the appropriate opening level. Blow
the hose and the nozzle
D) Excessive granulometry of
the used abrasive
Abrasive
Empty the tank and fill it with the
suitable size abrasive. Blow the
hoses to remove residual abrasive
E) Blocked product hose
Product hose
Disassemble the product hose and
clean it
F) The three-way valve
located on the regulation
box does not work
Three-way valve
Replace it
G) The gun valve does not
work
Gun valve
Replace it
II. Abrasive does not
come out of the
gun (air only)
A) Tank without abrasive
Tank
Fill the tank with abrasive
B) Blocked abrasive product
outlet
Product outlet
Move the product outlet regulation
control to increase the flow rate
Clean the outlet pipes of the tank
C) Excessive granulometry of
the used abrasive
Abrasive
Empty the tank and fill it with the
suitable size abrasive. Blow the
hoses to remove residual abrasive
D) Closed abrasive outlet
regulator
Product outlet regulator
Move the product outlet regulation
control to increase the flow rate
III. Non-uniform
abrasive product
flow
A) Wet or with strange
particles abrasive
Inside the tank
Empty the tank and fill it with dry
and filtered abrasive
B) Excessive granulometry of
the used abrasive
Abrasive
Empty the tank and fill it with the
suitable size abrasive. Blow the
hoses to remove residual abrasive
C) Sand flow rate regulator
too open
Product outlet regulator
Move the product outlet regulation
control until you reach the desired
flow rate
IV. The result of the
application is not
satisfactory
A) Unsuitable nozzle for
application
Nozzle
Replace the nozzle (according to
Table 1)
B) Lack of hose tightness
Hoses
Replace the hoses
C) Inappropriate working
pressure
Pressure regulator
Move the air regulator until you
reach the desired result
D) Inappropriate abrasive for
the work to be done
Abrasive
Ask the abrasive product supplier
information about the most
recommended product for each
work
V. Air outlet through
the safety valve
A) Excessive air pressure of
the compressor that feeds
the sandblaster
Compressor manometer
Adjust the compressor air outlet
pressure to a maximum of 6 kg /
cm²
VI. Insufficient air
outlet through the
nozzle
A) Blocked purifying filter
Purifying filter
Clean the purifying filter
B) Blocked nozzle on the
hose part
Nozzle - Hose
Disconnect the hose from the
sandblaster and blow from the
nozzle to unblock it
