Cleaning the window air conditioner
Clean the air conditioner regularly to keep it in good working order.
• Wipe dust and dirt particles off the front cover with a soft, dry cloth.
• When the front cover is excessively dirty, wipe it with a soft cloth dampened
with warm water (not exceeding 40°C) and a mild detergent, then dry it
thoroughly with a soft dry cloth.
• Never use harsh solvents or detergents.
Cleaning the air filter
The air filter should be washed at least once a month, otherwise dust will
accumulate in the filter, which will decrease the airflow and reduce the cooling
capacity. The air filter is located behind the front air intake grille.
• Open the air intake grille (Fig. 18) and pull out the air
filter.
• Wash the air filter under running water, or with water
and a mild detergent, if required, then rinse it with
clean water and let it air dry.
• When the filter is completely dry, reinstall it and
close the front cover.
• Replacement air filters are available from our after sales support centre. See
page 18 for how to purchase one.
