PC Card

Problem

Possible Cause - Solution

The system cannot 
recognize the PC Card.

The PC Card is not inserted into the socket or inserted incorrectly.

 Remove the card and 

re-insert it aligning the PC Card with the slot. Push the card in until it locks into place.

The PC Card or card driver is not compatible with the computer.

 Check 

“PC Card” on 

page  A - 2

 to check the compatibility of the card.

The PC Card driver is not installed. 

Install the driver (see 

“What to Install” on page 4 - 2

).

The system cannot access the card after it is installed. 

Please read the documentation 

which comes with any new external device. Make sure you
