Fixing
PROMAFOUR®
Pre-drill and countersink oversize screw holes in
the rear board and at the back of the left and right
boards at a maximum of 300mm centres. This is to
allow for heat expansion. See diagram opposite.
Screws should be loosely fitted to the boards and
fixed into metal plugs. If they are too tight they
can put additional tension on the board when the
screw expands with the heat, which can lead the
board to crack.
Alternatively, you can use countersunk concrete/
masonry screws but do not over-tighten.
PROMAFOUR® Glue is applied in the back left
and right corner to help support the left and
right boards. Excess should be cleaned with a
spatula and a sponge.
TIP
The glue dries very quickly to a hard finish
so clean any excess before it dries as removing
when dry can be difficult.
TIP
Water can collect in the top of the glue. When
opening glue for the first time snip of the top and
hold over a bucket for example to allow excess water
to be released.
