Most operating problems are due to mishandling and poor use of the lawnmower or the lack of normal recommended maintenance.
The following table describes simple methods of determining a few malfunctions and correcting them.
If the problem persists, we recommend that you contact one of our approved ETESIA dealers (list on request to ETESIA - 67165 

WISSEMBOURG Cedex - France).

Before doing anything, remove the security key.

ABNORMAL OPERATION

PROBABLE CAUSE

Uneven running, strong vibrations 

Blade balance

Rebalance or replace the blade

Cutting blade loose 

Tighten the attaching screw

Coupling washer defective

Poor cutting 

Blade mounted upside down

Refit with blade surfaces facing the engine

Sharpen, rebalance or change

Match the cutting height to the working conditions

The lawnmower is difficult to engage in gear 

or disengage

Wrong adjusted or stretched clutch cable 

Contact an approved ETESIA service engineer

The grass box fills badly

Defective blade or mounted upside down 

Replace or refit correctly

Cutting too low 

Change the cutting height

Blocked grass box grille 

Clean with a brush

Opening and housing blocked by cuttings and 

earth

Remove the security key and then clean the housing

Grass remains

Height adjustment too low

Adjust the deck cutting height lever

Opening and housing blocked by cuttings and 

earth

Remove the security key and then clean the housing

The voltage indicator of the charger does not 

turn on

Default charger power

Unplug the power cord and verify its good condi-

tion and make sure the outlet is turned on

The motor will not start 

The rechargeable battery is not properly ins-

talled

Remove the rechargeable battery, make sure to 

clean the connectors and reinstall it

The rechargeable battery is not sufficiently 

charged

Recharge the battery

The security key is not in place

Insert the safety key into its holder and push it 

all the way

The battery is defective.  

Replace the battery. 

The engine is noisy and emits vibrations

The motor shaft is deformed 

Turn off the engine and inspect the unit for da-

mage 

The engine turns off and beeps 

2 beeps: the battery is empty 

Recharge the battery 

5 beeps: motor overload 

Look for the origin of the overload (jam, cutting 

height not suitable for mowing conditions). Cor-

rect the problem and restart the engine 

IMPORTANT:

 Only use ETESIA parts as replacements. The quality of the work, the life of the lawnmower and your safety 

depend on it.

In addition to risks incurred by the user, the use of parts other than the manufacturer’s will result in the cancellation of the warranty for any 

damage caused. ETESIA refuse to accept responsibility for accidents due to the use of parts not coming from the manufacturer.
