BATTERY

WARNING!

53341 rechargeable battery must only be recharged

with the charger 53342. Recharging should not be done in confined

areas or an environment which is damp, dusty or under exposure to

heat.

AFFIXING THE CHARGER

The charger can be affixed to a wall using 2 Ø5 screws not supplied.

- If your chosen location is made out of wood, you will need 2 wooden

screws.

- If the location is a hollow partition, use dowels to hook the charger

onto.

Drill 2 holes, vertically and centrally aligned, spaced 114 mm apart

.

WHEN RECHARGING THE BATTERY

The first time - the lithium battery is partially charged before dispatch.

Recharge fully before use for maximum battery life.
If the battery has been stored. discharged or lightly charged for an

extended period of time, the charger will take 20 hours to fully recharge

the battery. The next charging up should be «standard» again.
For best results, the recharge should be done in a place where the tem-

perature is between 6 and 40C °.

CHARGING THE BATTERY

• Plug in the battery charger to a mains socket.

• Insert the battery firmly into the battery charging base (picture 1). A

flashing green lamp (C) indicates that the battery is charging normally.

The battery is slightly warm to the touch during the charging up

process.

• When the green lamp (D) indicates that the battery is completely charged,

it can be removed from the charger.

• To check the available charge, press the battery charge level button

(A picture 2).

• When the battery charger is not being used, unplug it from the mains.

BATTERY CHARGE LEVEL

To check the available charge, press the battery charge level button (A

picture 2). The display lamps (B) will indicate the approximate charge

level remaining in the battery.

- Four lamps - 80% à 100%

- Three lamps  - 60% à 80%

- Two lamps - 40 à 60%

- One lamp - 25 à 40%

- LEDs off -  The battery capacity is less than 25%; it should be re-

charged.

CHARGING PROBLEMS

When you insert the battery into the charger and a flashing red light (A

picture 1) comes on, remove it for one minute and reinstall it.
If the LED indicator flashes green (C) it means that the battery is

charging normally.
If, on the other hand, the light is red again, remove the battery from

the charger and disconnect it from the power supply for 1 minute.

Reconnect the charger and reinsert the battery. If the LED still does not

turn green, it means that the battery pack is defective.

Before replacing the battery pack in the event it does not charge:
- Check the power outlet by plugging in another device. Make sure the

power is not switched off.

- Check the charger’s lugs are not short-circuited by debris or other

foreign bodies.

- Move the charger to a location where the temperature is between 6

and 40 ° C if this is not the case.

OVERHEATING

The red indicator (B picture 1) may light up if a hot battery is placed

in the charger. Allow the battery to cool down for 30 minutes without

removing it from the charger. Charging will start automatically once it

has cooled down.

THE HANDLEBAR

•  Unfold the handlebar, ensuring the remote control cables are

correctly positioned (see picture 3)

• Tighten the 2 wing-nuts of the intermediate handlebar fastening (see

A picture 4).

• Position the handlebar at the required height according to how tall

you are (choice of 3 positions). Insert the positioning lug in the

corresponding hole in the handlebar mounting (B picture 4) then

screw in and tighten the nut (C picture 4). Important: make sure you

fasten both lower parts at the same height.

Keep your fingers away from the joints to avoid injury.

There must no be any play in the handlebar attachment.

• Lift the battery compartment cover (1 picture 5) to install the battery

(2). Make sure that it is correctly positioned and that the locking

button (3) is engaged before inserting the safety key (4). Close the

lid.

CUTTING HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT

Proceed only after engine has been switched off. Set the cut-

ting height according to the height of the grass to be cut.

•  To release the centralized adjustment lever from its notch, pull it

outwards (1 picture 6). Then turn it to the desired position (2 picture

6) and release it into its new notch.

•  The numerical values on the indicator correspond to the cutting

height in millimetres.

• Adapt the cutting height to the height and density of the grass and

the weather conditions. If the grass to be cut is very dense or wet, the

cutting height will need to be raised to avoid jams.
