8•6 SCARIFIER CLEANING
To keep the scarifier in good condition, you should clean it regularly.
Remove any loose dirt and dust with a soft brush. Wash plastic surfaces with soap and water. Use the usual products for cleaning vehicles. All
remains of cleaning products must be rinsed away with water. For a silky shine on plastic parts, use a plastic cleaning product. Follow the ins-
tructions for use of the product. To protect hard-working parts from corrosion, you can use glycerine.
IMPORTANT!
Under no circumstances should you use chemical or aggressive cleaning products. Plastic or painted surfaces will
be permanently damaged. Use only cleaning and maintenance products that are easily biodegradeable. In that way you will be protec-
ting the environment and helping to keep groundwater clean!
Cleaning the machine with high pressure cleaners, steam jet cleaners and similar appliances can permanently damage certain parts
such as ball bearings, seals, engine parts, plastic parts, etc.! Furthermore, water may enter the engine. Therefore make sure there is
a sufficient distance between the cleaner nozzle and the parts at risk. The water temperature must not exceed 50°C. Also, follow the
engine user manual!
