Technical Data
Functions
Supply of DMX data to the Ethernet
Supply of Ethernet data to DMX lines
Ethernet bridge between DMX devices
Protocol converter for heterogeneous networks
DMX merger, DMX filter, DMX booster, DMX patchbay
Interfaces
2 x RJ45 for DMX in
2 x 12 x RJ45 for DMX out
2 x RJ45 for 10/100 MBit/s Ethernet (automatic detection)
1 x Sub-D for RS-485 dimmer feedback (rear)
1 x Sub-D for analog and digital signals (rear)
1 x Sub-D for RS-232 (COM port, front)
IP addressing
Can be set at display or from PC software.
Ethernet protocols
Avab/IPX, Avab/UDP, sACN
Merge modules
A merge module combines 5 input sources (DMX512, Ethernet,
analog) in any combination and outputs the result to DMX512 and/or
Ethernet. Four independent merge modules are available
simultaneously.
Timeout
Can be set within a wide range for each line.
DMX filter
Any value arriving over Ethernet or DMX512 can be used to enable
or disable individual bytes of data or entire lines.
Output data rate
Selectable timing for each Ethernet and DMX512 line.
Protection functions
If the signal fails, there is a choice of buffering the DMX outputs or
switching off after a timeout which can be explicitly set. After a power
failure, a self-test is carried out and the device is ready within 5
seconds.
DFB proxy
Connection of an existing DMX90/FDX90 dimmer system with a
conventional monitoring interface (RS-485).
