Removal
6.2.1
Removing the ES922.1 from the ES910.3-A module
A flat-head screwdriver is required to remove the ES922.1 from the ES910.3-A
(slot width of 2
mm). Have two CAN K106 cables additionally to hand to facili
-
tate removal.
Remove the ES922.1 from the ES910.3-A module:
1. Switch off the voltage supply to the ES910.3-A module.
2. Make sure that all devices connected to the module by cables
are switched off.
3. Place the ES910.3-A on a solid base.
4. Undo and remove the four screws at the corners of the front
panel of the extension slot.
Keep the screws in a safe place. They are required for fasten
-
ing the front panel.
5. Connect one CAN cable to each of the CAN connections.
6. Attach the cables directly to the module.
7. Pull the ES922.1 module out of the ES910 without tilting it.
CAUTION
Some components can be damaged or destroyed by electrostatic
discharges.
Leave the module in its transport packaging until installation.
The module may only be removed from the transport packaging and installed
at a workplace that is secured against static discharges.
CAUTION
Risk of damaging the ES910.3-A module.
The ES910.3-A module must not be stood on its rear when fitting the front
panel.
The fastening screws for the extension slot must not fall into the module.
