Firmware

5.4.1

Firmware for the ES910.3-A and ES922.1 modules

The necessary firmware is also loaded when the extension module is plugged 
in and the firmware for ES910.3-A is updated with the ETAS "Hardware service 
pack" software (HSP). Updating the firmware update is imperative in the follow

-

ing circumstances:

• After installing an extension module for the first time
• After changing the type of module in the extension slot (e.g. swapping 

ES920 for ES922.1). 

If different copies of the same module type (e.g. ES922.1) are used in direct 
succession in the same module ES910.3-A, no further firmware update is 
required.

5.4.2

Firmware update

The firmware of the ES922.1 can be updated by the user so that future versions 
of the module can also be used. The firmware update is carried out using the 
HSP service software on the connected PC.

NOTE

As delivered, the ES910.3-A module does 

not

 contain any firmware that sup

-

ports the modules that can be mounted in the extension slot. 

NOTE

The connection to the PC and the power supply to the ES910.3-A must not be 
broken while the firmware is being updated.
