Storage
7
When you finish ironing, turn the appliance
off by holding button
B1
and disconnect
the power cord from the electric socket.
Then drain the water from the tank, or let it
evaporate, and let the iron cool down. Wind
up the power cord
B9
and the steam inlet
hose
A6
in the storage area and secure them
with the arresting clip
B11
. Place the iron
into the resting position (Fig. 7). Store the
appliance after cleaning in a dry, dust-free
and safe place, out of the reach of children
and incompetent persons.
IV. MAINTENANCE
Before every maintenance, unplug the iron from power supply by taking the fork of
the power cord out of the socket! Do not use rough and aggressive detergents (e.g.
sharp objects, peelers, pot scourers, caustic agents for cleaning or other solvents).
Wipe the entire iron with a wet cloth in the cooled state and dry up. If brown film is created
on the ironing plate (e.g. when ironing starched laundry), you can remove the film by
a detergent containing fine sand.
When the indicator
B7
is lit and you hear a sound signal, it is necessary to clean the
system from scale. Turn off the boiler by pressing
B1
, disconnect the power cord
B9
from
the electric socket and let it cool down (about 2 hours). Pull out the water tank
C
. Remove
the cover
B14
on the bottom of the boiler. Use the screwdriver
B13
(or any other suitable
tool, such as a spanner) to remove the screw
B12
.
Hold the boiler above a suitable vessel/sink and completely drain the contents of the water
tank. When no water is coming out anymore, screw the water drainage screw back in and
tighten it adequately. Then insert the cover
B14
.
Recommendation
–
The boiler is designed so that any scale is removed together with water by draining.
You do not need to shake or tilt the boiler.
– Make sure that the contact areas and sealing components are functional.
– Failure to clean the appliance may lead to malfunction. Clean the appliance
immediately (regularly) when the anti-calc indicator
B7
switches on.
