OPOGRAPHY
Topography is used to measure the corneal curvature. It is based on the reflection of the Placido disk on
the eye at a controlled working distance for high precision measurement.
MYOPIA EXPERT 700 allows the user to acquire the corneal top
ography of the eye. The “Corneal Map” is
obtained from the reflection of 24 rings of the Placido disk at a distance of 80 millimeters from the patient’s
eye. The position of the device, in relation to the patient’s eye thus found, is used as a starting poi
nt for
fine adjustments to be made in the corresponding measurement mode.
By selecting this mode, the acquisition environment shown in Fig. 25 appears.
Upon acquisition, the Keratometry result is shown, together with a preview of the corneal topography map.
The number of acquisitions performed is shown in the corner of the topography eye image.
