listening to FM radio
The integrated RDS tuner allows you to tune in to stations in the FM band. RDS (Radio
Data System) transmits additonal information along with the analogue audio signal. Not
all FM radio stations transmit RDS information. The types of RDS information you get
depend on what the FM radio station transmits and what your tuner can pick up.
To start listening to FM radio, follow the steps below.
1. Put your clock radio into the audio mode if it is not in this mode.
2. Press the button one or more times until " FM " appears on the screen. Your
clock radio tunes in to 87.5 MHz (the start of FM frequency band) or the last FM
radio frequency you tuned it to.
3. Tune your clock radio to your desired radio station. See the sections below for more
information.
While listening to FM radio, you can:

Press the and buttons to adjust the volume. Press the button to mute your
clock radio.

Press the button repeatedly to cycle through the following types of information:
-
RDS information (radio station name, song title, music style, etc.) if it is available
- playing mode (mono/stereo)
- signal strength
-
the current date and time
-
the two alarms' statuses
Fully extend the antenna for optimal reception.
Performing an automatic search
To perform an automatic search, long press the button.

Your clock radio will search the entire FM frequency band (87.5 to 108 MHz) for radio
stations and automatically save them as preset stations one after another.
● Once the search is complete, your clock radio will tune in to the first radio station it
found.
●
You may need to perform an automatic search occasionally to get more radio stations
or improve the reception of existing radio stations.
