Lenses used in optical equipment (mag-
nifiers, reading glasses, optical systems,
filterglasses and filter clip-ons) may cause
considerable damage by their

if used or stored improperly.
Ensure that optical lenses are never left
uncovered in the sunlight!

Danger of blinding or injury!
Never look directly at the sun through any
optical equipment!

Protect optical devices from knocks,
strikes, moisture and excessive heat!
Never place optical equipment on a heating
element or in direct sunlight!

Ensure that other people, especially child-
ren, are aware of these dangers!
Care instructions

Do not use any soap solutions that contain
softeners, alcohol-based or organic sol-
vents or abrasive cleaning products! These
may damage the lenses.

Do not clean optical equipment in an ultra-
sonic bath or under running water!
Clean your optical equipment with a soft,
lint-free cloth (e.g. spectacle cleaning cloth).
Moisten the cleaning cloth to remove more
persistant stains (e.g. fingerprints).
Filterglasses and filter clip-ons for protecting the
eyes from sunlight comply with the European
Standard EN 1836:2005+A1:2007 (D).
