“Knee–Plump-Line” method: To do this you need to sit on the bike with the
crank arms in the horizontal position (3’o clock position). From the forward
facing leg’s knee cap a plumb line is lowered, which should just barely touch
the end of the crank arm. This is easier to do with another person helping, e.g.
a shop attendant.

Do not cross the marking “stop” in the
clamping area.
The basic position is achieved when the saddle padding is horizontal in the
front area
(Fig. 7)
. If you slip forward while riding, the nose of the saddle
should be tilted slightly up 1–3 degrees
(Fig. 8)
