8. For the area of the printing surface which now contains media, move the pressure
rollers under the black bars to enable them. For areas which do no have any
media, move the pressure rollers away from the black bars to disable them.
9. Move the media holding plates to the sides of the media. The edges of the media
should show up in the middle of the three holes on each media plate.
If you are using the takeup reel, continue to that section on page 9.
10. Close the cover.
11. Before printing, perform a nozzle check and if necessary a nozzle cleaning. See
page 15 of this guide for more info on nozzle cleanings and maintenance.
Selecting Media Type on the Printer
After loading your media the printer control panel will ask you to select the media
setting. The default will be the last user's setting, which you can continue to use, or
select a new one:

3. Scroll up or down to highlight the media you're using. Select OK to check it, then
press the back button to return to the previous screen.
4. Press the back button again. You should be back to the original Media Information
screen which now displays your selected media.
