Head Cleaning
Cleans the color and black print heads. If print quality declines,
use this utility to ensure the nozzles are delivering ink
properly. Before and after print head cleaning, use the Nozzle
Check utility to check whether the print heads need to be
cleaned (again). You can access the Nozzle Check utility
directly from the Head Cleaning utility. If the print quality
does not improve, repeat print head cleaning.

To avoid wasting ink, clean the print head only if print quality
declines.

Print Head Alignment
Aligns the print heads so that images print clearly. If you find
that your printed image is fuzzy or the vertical or horizontal
lines in your printout are not properly aligned, you may need
to use this utility.
The Print Head Alignment utility includes both black and color
print head alignment features. This utility affects only the print
heads.
