2.3.4 Keeping the paper in paper holding load
1) To keep the paper in paper holding load after printing, drive with chopping control.
2) When stopping the motor, drive one step with 65 ms of driving time to the last phase in use when the
motor would stop. Then drive with chopping control with an ON/OFF time of 0.3 ms each.
3) Chopping control may prevent the paper from running out as a result of pulling the paper by the
take-up device or by hand.
4) With chopping control, the motor will heat up and energy may be lost. If not necessary, it is
recommended not to drive with chopping control.
NOTE: The timing chart below describes only when the phase is shifted from printing to keeping the
paper in paper holding load.
